Career FAQ's

How do I find out about job opportunies in Dialog?

Our vacancies can be found in "Job Posting" or if your desired position is not available, you can send in your application via "General Applications".

You must register with our Careers Web site to be permitted to submit an application for a position.

To apply for any position, please create an account with the Dialog Careers Web site.  A link to the "Apply for Job" form is at the bottom of all of the pages on the job advertisement.  You will need a valid email address and access to that email account to complete the registration process.  If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password link to have your password resent.

Click the link in the confirmation e-mail you receive.  If your e-mail service provider doesn't permit active links in the e-mail you receive from the Dialog Careers Web site, then copy and paste the link into a browser to confirm your registration. You will link to a page to create a password for your account.

Once you have confirmed your registration and created your password, you will be able to log in to your Dialog Careers Web site account.  The login fields are located in Candidate Login. Enter your e-mail address and your password then click "Submit".

How can I verify that my CV has been received?

Once you have registered with us, you will be asked to key in your personal details & attach your CV. You may either upload a CV you have already prepared or create one on our system.

You will receive an immediate confirmation email acknowledging that your CV has been received. All your contact information, profile and CV will be made available to the recruiter handling that position.

In case your desired position is not available, you may submit your CV under ‘General Application' as our recruiters are constantly search for a candidate for a new position in our database.

What sort of questions will I be asked during my application?

When you apply to us for a particular job, you will be requested to respond to specific questions. Some are to match your skills and qualifications with the role and others are to ensure your application complies with relevant laws and Dialog's business policies.

If you are successful in your application to Dialog, your responses to these key questions will be verified as part of the screening process.

Do I have to meet the essential criterias?

As part of the online application process, you will have answered questions to determine whether your profile meets the minimum requirements or essential criteria described in the job description.

Unfortunately, if you do not meet the minimum requirements for a specific job, you will not be considered for the role. However, your profile will be retained in our recruitment database and if a match should occur between your profile and future open positions, you will be notified by email and invited to return to our website to apply. You are also encouraged to continue to review our jobs and apply to those which you are interested in and where your skills and experience match the outlined requirements.

What happens to my application after I have submitted it?

You will receive an immediate email confirmation that your application has been received along with details of your reference number. We aim to notify you within 2 weeks whether or not your profile meets our initial criteria for the specific job you applied for.

If your application meets our initial criteria, you will progress to the next stage of our short-listing and selection processes. You will be contacted via email or telephone by one of our recruiters to confirm the next steps. Your profile will also be retained in our recruitment database for possible matches against future open positions.

We aim to keep in touch with you regularly so that you fully understand your status for the specific position for which you are being considered. You will receive an email indicating how your application is progressing at each stage and what you need to do next. However, sometimes application volumes may be high and it may take several weeks for us to review your application – please bear with during these times.

Do you accept applications by mail?

You are encouraged to apply for roles online. However, if you are unable to do so via our system, for example because you are using assistive technologies, please write to us via and we will advise you what to do next.

I'm having problems uploading a Word document containing tables?

If you are uploading a CV or attachment in MS Word format which contains tables, this may cause the file upload process to fail. In this instance, you should either convert your file to PDF format and re-upload, or convert the table data in the MS Word document to plain text.

I did not receive a confirmation e-mail. What should I do?

After submitting your application to a job you should receive an email confirming that your application has been received. It may take up to 48 hours for you to receive this message. If, after 48 hours, you have still not received the email confirmation:

  • Check that you submitted to the job using the correct email address.
  • Check there were no misspellings.
  • Check your junk email or spam email folder in case it has been misdirected there.

Who can I contact if I'm having problems?

If you are having difficulty, please contact us at the email address below explaining the problem.

Please note: We do not accept job applications at this email address.

How long will my CV be stored in the recruitment database?

Your records will be stored on the system for three years and can only be accessed by Dialog recruiters.
